Retirement of Jean Williams

On Thursday, 3 May 2018, our Firm held a farewell function in the Boardroom for Jean.  That day marked the end of nearly 30 years connection with Gibson Howlin Lawyers and its predecessors.

Jean Piper, as she then was, was employed by the Firm to assist the Conveyancing Partner, Reg Gibson, and to perform legal and registration services throughout Sydney.  Jean created a number of connections with other law stationers and registry staff throughout the Land Titles Office and the Courts in and around the Sydney CBD.

In the mid-90s Jean took the plunge and formed her own business Legal Registration Clerk Services, specialising in Conveyancing and Mortgage transactions.  In view of her abilities, Reg Gibson and Matt Howlin, as the partners of Gibson Howlin Lawyers, had great pleasure in contracting all of the law stationer work to Jean and her new Company.  Ably assisted in that business by her new husband, Darrell Williams, Jean not only took his surname, but also worked tirelessly with Darrell to provide the services that we had come to expect from her.  This arrangement continued till her retirement.

Jean and Darrell will now move to live in Bathurst and we take the opportunity to wish them both well in the years ahead of them.
